- Individuals who are responsible for providing Cisco MDS 9000 based SAN Solutions
Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites; however participants will gain the most from this if they have a fundamental knowledge of:
- Data storage components and protocols
- Fibre Channel architectures
- Cisco IOS and GUI interfaces
Course Objectives
After completing this course you will be able to:
- Introduce the MDSCT course, the Cisco MDS 9000 Family of products, and describe their key value-added features and benefits to the customer
- Describe the MDS 9000 Family system components, installation practices, and initial configurations
- Describe and configure system features on the MDS 9000 Family of multilayer multi-protocol switches
- Describe the use of MDS 9000 Family basic and advanced troubleshooting tools and provide students with guidance on how to resolve common SAN problem scenarios, using some of these tools
Course Content
Cisco MDS 9000 Configuration and Troubleshooting enables you to develop skills in installing the product, configuring newly installed components and adding system features to the deployed solution, the course then concludes with troubleshooting techniques for resolving problems in existing implementations.
