CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) Storage

This certification indicates expert level knowledge in the implementation and troubleshooting of storage area networks using Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCIP and FICON protocols to enable resource sharing over LANs, MANs and WANs. Although core routing and switching protocols are not the focus of this certification, delegates must demonstrate a solid understanding and applicable knowledge in Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies.
Prerequisites:
No formal training requirement exists for CCIE certification. The list below contains Service Provider related training courses that may enhance your personal knowledge of the topics on the written exam blueprint.
To obtain your CCIE, you must first pass a written qualification exam and then a corresponding hands-on lab exam.
Recertification:
Complete one CCIE written exam within the 24 month period immediately preceding your current recertification deadline. All CCIE certifications and Specialist certifications are valid for two years.
